Join us for a working bee on Jenny’s garden in West Footscray incorporating Permaculture principles – get your hands dirty, meet like-minded people and learn along the way!

Jenny already has an inspiring productive garden designed with permaculture principles in mind, but it needs a bit of a revamp. We’ll be revamping and replanting some of her garden beds and Scott Hitchens, founding member of Werribee Heritage Orchard and POW, will demonstrate how to create a bog garden and how to graft citrus.

Jenny will provide a simple lunch.

So that we can manage the day successfully and safely, please book into each shift you plan to attend, including lunch.

Jenny’s address will be provided once you register.

If you book into a shift, please attend the whole two hours and arrive 15 minutes early for registration.

  • Ticket 1: 10am-12pm working shift and bog garden demonstration (Max ten people)
  • Ticket 2: 12-1pm lunch (Max eighteen people)
  • Ticket 3: 1-3pm working shift and citrus grafting demonstration (Max eight people)

BYO

  • gloves
  • trowels,
  • gardening forks if you have them and
  • don’t forget appropriate clothing – closed toe shoes, sun protection, waterproofs if necessary, and
  • a water bottle.

See you there!
