Discussion led by the University of Wollongong (UOW) with Professor Karen Charlton, with the topic — Reducing, recycling and repurposing waste in agri-businesses in the Bega Valley and surrounds.

UOW researchers are inviting growers, agri-businesses, farmers, restaurant and café owners and retailers to participate in an interactive workshop to discuss circular and sustainable practices, especially in light of the Bega Valley Shire Circular Economy hub that is being developed.

This workshop will explore existing and potential practices related to waste, and what changes are expected for local agriculture to be more circular and sustainable. We will also gain an in-depth understanding of the best practices in the region and the next steps required.
