It’s been 12 years since we held the last South East Permaculture Bioregional Convergence in Bega at Mumbulla School: given the circumstances of current global events, it’s timely to have it back.
This is a warm invitation to Permaculture-related groups, associations, businesses and individuals to gather and share what they do.
We are planning for speakers, workshops, discussions & planning, music, site tours all nourished with locally grown food.
South East refers to the arc from Wollongong across to the Southern Tablelands and down to the Victorian border.
This large region is made up of many future bioregions that will define our capacity and boundary to meet most of our community needs as we inevitably shift into Energy Descent.
It requires a grassroots response as Governments will be too little., too late.
What do we need to do more of now for what’s coming tomorrow?
This gathering is about making beneficial connections of our shared experiences and finding the gaps.
We need your support to make this happen.
We’ve started the planning with a small team in Bega but now need to call out for help in putting this event on. There’s several ways you could do this.
Local contacts –let us know about active groups in your local area that we can connect with to channel information. e.g. SCPA, SAGE in Moruya, Southern Harvest on the Tablelands, Permablitz the Gong.
Working Teams – Join a working team on zoom calls. We currenlty have groups for Programming, Catering, Marketing, Admin, Volunteer co-ordination, Site co-ordination.
Helping at the Event – Let us know if you are able to help with logistics during the event.
Contact me if you’re available to assist with any of these……thank you.
