Meet & Greet, Chat & Chew, Meet New Friends!
Come along and have a chat with us at our regular Permie Picnic. Learn about some of the events we have planned, book clubs, and so much more.
When? – We’re meeting on Sunday 3rd May from 11am – 2pm.
Where? – Jaycee Island, access via the Fawckner Drive Car Park; take the road at the bottom of the car park, and then the dirt road immediately off to the left and down to the end. There is a bridge over the troubled waters, and we will be at the picnic pavilion directly opposite the entrance bridge. Just keep an eye out for the Big Benalla Permaculture Banner!
It’s a communal picnic, so please bring a plate to share, or BYO if you have specific dietary needs. BYO Crockery & Cutlery, Drinks, Chairs, Picnic Rug, etc.
Well behaved children welcome under supervision, well behaved adults also welcome, supervision optional.
Plan to arrive around 11 for the Meet and Greet part, Lunch will be from 12.
We will also have a share table for anything you wish to share with everyone, from seeds, to seedlings, to plants, to produce, to old tools, to books, to … The only rule is that unpicked offerings should be taken back home please.
As always, if you are feeling unwell, have tested positive for the Virus that Shall Not be Named, or are awaiting test results, then for the benefit of all, please stay at home, rest up and get better. That is something we would prefer you not share.
WEATHER CONTINGENCIES – The forecast is RAIN on the weekend and beyond so keep an eye on things. If it’s gently raining, head to the library, we’ll be huddled in the car park underneath.
If the rain is heavy, or extreme weather, storms, floods etc., are forecast 5 days or less prior, then please consider the picnic cancelled. Keep an eye on the BP Page and Group.
Member Bonus – We’ll have the BP Member’s Library there, a chance for financial members to return borrowed books and/or borrow a new one.
