Join us for a fun, interactive introduction to permaculture – a design approach for creating sustainable, resilient systems that work with nature, not against it.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • What permaculture is (and what it isn’t)
  • How it can be applied in everyday life – at home, in the garden, and in community
  • Practical ways you can take positive action toward a more sustainable future

This session is all about sparking ideas, sharing perspectives, and connecting with others who care about creating meaningful change. Expect a mix of conversation, inspiration, and hands-on thinking as we explore how to shape the future we want – together.

Meet the Facilitators

Lachlan McKenzie

From Permaculture SA and Permatil Global, Lachlan brings over 30 years of experience across diverse cultures, climates, and contexts. His depth of knowledge and grounded approach create an engaging and accessible entry point into permaculture for everyone.

Jasper

A permie at heart since childhood (having grown, sold, and mostly eaten his own strawberries!), Jasper now grows food intensively on half an acre in Willunga. He shares produce with family, friends, a weekly Gifting Table, and the local LETS Market. With a background in teaching permaculture at Flinders University and coordinating community groups, Jasper brings a love of slow processes, sharing circles, gifting, and a touch of theatre to his facilitation.

Dani Austin

Dani is passionate about hands-on sustainable living so founded Folk of all Trades where they support people on their simple living and environmental journey. They teach over 30 topics from gardening to green cleaning, and from DIY festive decorations to fermenting.

Snacks and drinks are provided. We’d love you to bring a vegetarian or vegan plate to share for lunch.
