Learn about the different types of garlic and how to grow it, learn about native plants with an interactive walk around the garden.
Hosted by SCRAP Ltd at the Holsworthy Community Garden!
Learn about the different 11 sub groups of garlic and their distinct features.
During the Tasting workshop, our host Peter Carroll of SCRAP Ltd and Sharon Moore-Lambert (Cultivating Hope) will cook up some lovely damper, for dipping into Garlic Kingdom’s infused, special garlic mixtures.
On the camp fire at the Yarning Circle (pictured above) Peter, will brew some tea made from various native plant blends that are grown around the garden and Bill the Beeman will introduce us to his beekeeping and the Garlic/Honey nexus.
We will conclude with an informative walk around the garden where Peter will be showing us what edible native plants can be grown easily in your garden.
Bring the kids and they can enjoy a fun day out and I’m told the chickens will need feeding, so I’m sure the kids will love helping with that chore on the day.
So book in to one workshop or both…..see you there!
The workshops will be held at the Holsworthy Community Garden and the SCRAP Centre at 209 Heathcote Rd Holsworthy.
