Tuition will be provided by Stephan Gehrels,an experienced scythesman passionate about permaculture and environmental education.
What you’ll learn:
The history and theory of scything
Practical applications in various settings (lawns, fields, meadows, allotments, brambles)
Selecting and setting up your scythe and snath (handle)
Blade maintenance and sharpening techniques, including honing and peening
Who should attend:
Gardeners, allotment holders, horticulturists
Anyone aged 16+ with vegetation to cut. No prior knowledge needed
