Urban Permaculture Eden

Description

Visit an award winning urban Permaculture farm with 50 fruit trees; 8 raised vegetable beds; grey water, 100% rain water; chickens, honey bees, native bees and some surprises!

Workshops all day include:

10.30 Diego Bonetto - local artist and naturalist talking about wild edibles

11.30 Jane Mowbray from City Farms and Community Gardens and Glovers' Garden fame with a seed saving workshop

kids workshops with myself and Steve Webb of Edible Children's Gardens - outdoor musical instruments and make a small farm in a box with urban waste and a worm hotel; art activities for the kids

2.00 special guest speaker Jill Finnane who wrote Lawns into Lunch and was one of our earliest verge gardeners.

Herb teas and hot soup - bring a small plate to share and if you bring your kids maybe a book to read them in our pop-up junk library!
